National Virtual Reality Innovation Center cooperated with Huazhong University of Science and Technology to publish a monograph named “Holographic Polymer Materials for VR/AR Applications” in Acta Polymerica Sinica, which is a top Chinese journal in the field of polymer science. The monograph summarizes the development of VR/AR technology, discusses the relationship between the performance of holographic polymer materials and VR/AR display effect, emphatically introduces the main strategy of optimizing the performance of holographic polymer materials, and finally anticipates the development direction of holographic polymer materials for VR/AR. The first author of the paper is Dr. Ni Mingli at National Virtual Reality Innovation Center, and the corresponding authors are Professor Peng Haiyan and Professor Xie Xiaolin at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

Abstract: The existing bifocal axial positioning method for single-particle tracing involves complex optical path with low optical utilization rate. To solve this problem, a 3D single-particle positioning method based on Pancharatnam-Berry phase lenses is proposed. By adding Pancharatnam-Berry phase lens featured by positive and negative dual focal length in the optical path of traditional fluorescence microscopy imaging system, two focal planes can be imaged on one detector at the same time. The lateral (x-y direction) position information of a single particle can be obtained based
