On September 18-19, 2023, the 2023 China VR/AR Technology Developer Forum and the 4th Intelligent Terminal Industrial Design Forum were held in Dongguan, Guangdong! The forum gathered 21 speakers, a total of 56 companies and more than 105 industry elites, mainly around the whole machine design, thermal management, optics, new material development and manufacturing and other technologies for in-depth discussion. Dr. Huo Yingdong, Chief Scientist of Nanchang Virtual Reality Research Co., Ltd. (NCVR), attended the forum as a special guest and delivered a keynote speech "Electronic Zoom Liquid Crystal Lens Technology in Virtual Reality".
National Virtual Reality Innovation Center cooperated with Huazhong University of Science and Technology to publish a monograph named “Holographic Polymer Materials for VR/AR Applications” in Acta Polymerica Sinica, which is a top Chinese journal in the field of polymer science. The monograph summarizes the development of VR/AR technology, discusses the relationship between the performance of holographic polymer materials and VR/AR display effect, emphatically introduces the main strategy of optimizing the performance of holographic polymer materials, and finally anticipates the development direction of holographic polymer materials for VR/AR. The first author of the paper is Dr. Ni Mingli at National Virtual Reality Innovation Center, and the corresponding authors are Professor Peng Haiyan and Professor Xie Xiaolin at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

On December 12, 2022, the Science and Technology Department of Jiangxi Province issued the Announcement on Unveiling and Leadership Assumption of Industry Chain Science and Technology Innovation Consortium and Projects to Be Established for Collaborative Breakthrough of Jiangxi Province in 2022. In the announced list of projects to be established, the project named “Development and Industrialization of High-speed and High-precision Speckle Structured Light 3D Camera for VR/AR” led by Dr. Guo Zhenmin, chief scientist of the 3D sensing and machine vision research department of the Institute, was successfully approved.
From November 12th to 13th, 2022 World Conference on VR Industry co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province was grandly held in Nanchang, Jiangxi.
